Connecting Play, Breath, Stimulation and Distraction

Connecting play, breath, stimulation and distraction for stress relief and management.

At DeepWell DTx we spent three years learning what makes video games amazing for our mental health.

Our next step was to enhance the already clinically proven mechanism for enhancing mood and building resilience.

Introduction of vagal nerve stimulation during game play brought the immediate positive experience and long term healing potential of video games to the next level.

The key was to incorporate breath control into gaming in a way that would promote limbic learning, allow adoption of the behavior during stressful situations, and provide immediate calming.

We also learned this could not feel forced – the breathing mechanic needed to be customizable and optional, allowing the player to opt in when it felt natural and enhanced game play.

Tomorrow, Zengence launches, a game where magic powers are enhanced by the players ability to take control of their body and calm their minds.

Here is an article to help better understand how the games toning mechanic will connect players with their bodies and provide immediate and lasting stress relief.
