There has been considerable debate and conflict over the impact of simulated violence in video games for 50 plus years.
Fortunately, last year, Stanford researchers put a definitive stake in the ground with a meta study that found no causal relationship between video games and real world violence.

The data is clear: action based shooting games do NOT produce real world violence, but they DO reduce stress!
DeepWell DTx pushed past the dogma to create a game using the most effective means of reducing stress, and that included action shooting mechanics. We chose to steer away from simulated gore and horror, but it should be noted that games with these elements have also been found to be therapeutic!
