Action Video Game Focused Study: Ability to Address Anxiety

Study focuses on action video games ability to address adolescent anxiety.

Here is an opportunity to participate in a study that will measure commercial video games viability as a treatment for anxiety in 12 – 14 year old children.

This is a great way to learn more about video games as therapeutics and perhaps open a meaningful dialogue with a kiddo who may be struggling with mental health issues.

The enrollment period ends June 30th and the link below will provide much more detail and access to enrollment.

Additional Details:

The study aims to recruit 150 individuals, 12 to 14 years of age, with high levels of anxiety as reported by the parents’ online form of the Screen for Child Anxiety Related Disorders questionnaire. This trial contrasts a child-friendly, “action-like” video game designed to improve attentional control abilities in a progressive and stepwise manner (Eco-Rescue) with a casual puzzle video game selected to act as a positive distraction tool (Bejeweled).
